About us

Hořovice Hospital is more than a regular district hospital, but it is able to provide specialized health services beyond the basic four branches of medicine, especially its orthopedic and neurological wards, as well as specialized care in its departments of anesthesiology and resuscitation, internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics and, last but not least, the children's department. Over the last seven years, the hospital has undergone extensive reconstruction, first in its outpatient and later dormant part. At present, all of its bed rooms are equipped with one- to four-bed rooms with their own sanitary facilities, TV in each room and Internet access via WiFi network. Her gynecological and obstetric department is announced within the Region and Prague by her maternity ward at the Solar Gate, whose services for her modern approach, quality and helpfulness of staff and excellent facilities use more and more parents each year. At present, over 1500 births per year are the largest maternity ward in the Central Bohemian region. The hospital is not only great for mothers, but also for their newly born offspring. The neonatology department has been built over the last 5 years, expanded in 2014 to gain the status of Perinatal Center of Intermediate Care with the possibility to provide newborn care from the 31st week of pregnancy. On the basis of these facts, every future mother can be sure that she and her child get the best possible health care during and after delivery.
